ABOUT ME

I am a gender non-conforming multidisciplinary artist based on Gadigal land, on what is so colonially called Australia.

I am queer and Brazilian, and both are inseparable from my work and the references I carry. My artistic journey began in Brazil in 2019, after completing my studies in photography and audiovisual practice.

I became drawn to performance and the way bodies carry political values, and how presence itself can be resistance. Photographing performances taught me how bodies speak, and this way of seeing continues to shape my practice.

I use my body as a medium because it is where my searching begins. This comes from the desire to find myself within my own skin and reclaim all the forms I inhabit. I see my practice as a way of moving beyond the friction between the self that functions and the self that feels.

I live and work on the lands of the Gadigal and Wangal people.

I pay my respects to their Elders past and present  and acknowledge their continuos connection to country.

This land always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
