CASA

The bananas you gave me are finally ripe.
Though I'm grieving the mango that was not shared.

So I ate
And I ate some more.

So ripe
that I forgot time slipping away.

Everything tastes sweeter now
just because I know they will be gone soon.

I grieve the fruits I have had
and the ones I'm leaving behind.

I'm grieving because its not about the fruits.

Then I make a ritual and their presence stays on.
